Description of Liquid Paraffin Pharma Grade

Liquid Paraffin Pharma Grade is a very highly refined mineral oil used in medicine. Mineral oil is a clear, odorless oil derived from a mineral source, typically a distillate of petroleum. Liquid Paraffin is pure white mineral oils, refined to such an extremely high degree that these oils are suitable for internal medicinal use. In Mineral Oil, the refinement process means complete removal of aromatics, sulfur, and nitrogen compounds.

Mineral Oil is quite different product comparing paraffin wax which is a solid white and hard product, white oil has different usage for manufacture of pharmaceuticals and personal care products such as ointments, lotions cosmetic, hair oils, baby oils, moisturizers, laxatives, and creams and is quite processed for not being harmful to human and industrial grade is used for polishes and car or shoe wax.

However, liquid paraffin pharma grade is a term reserved for highly-refined mineral oil that is suitable for skin care products applications and even for oral ingestion. This is an important distinction, because some skin care experts who express concern about liquid paraffin may be inadvertently referring to non-medical grade mineral oil, which has not been properly purified for use in skin products.

Liquid Paraffin Pharma Grade Application

It is used in different medicine for lubricating and medical facilities for more simple usage in creams, ointments, lipstick, mascaras, sun oils, body lotions, shiny makers, eyebrow vitamin creams and liquid.

• Used to ease inflammation due to diaper rash or irritation due to eczema
• Used to soften hardened ear wax
• Used in the penicillin production process
• Used in some eye lubricants
• Base for ointments and emollients

Storage and Handling

Avoid inhalation of vapours/spray and contact with skin and eyes.
In case of spills, beware of slippery floors and surfaces.
Eliminate all sources of ignition.
No smoking, sparks, flames, or other sources of ignition near spillage. Provide adequate Ventilation.
When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Wash at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking and using the toilet.
Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
Good personal hygiene procedures should be implemented.

Liquid Paraffin Packing

Liquid paraffin is packed in new cosmetic 180 kg steel or PE drums. Each 20-foot container takes 110 drummed white oil pharma grade.
